Bags 2020
Producing practical and aesthetically pleasing bags. Mixed and repurposed fibres in combination too curate a personalised ergonomic piece. In the now they are made for friends and family to suit their everyday needs. Bags are essential to an active life. In the most all we do is move stuff around the planet so I'm interested in facilitating with a quirky thoughtful design with original fibres in combinations.
It started off as a test to see how the webbing and cork look together. Then it turned into a pencil case for a friend . The special pencil case feature it with holds is the ability to fully open flat out so searching for the illusive mark maker is accommodated for.
I was given some cyanotype fabric made by my Alesh Compton. On to which I combined with fabrics I'm interested in. I wanted to make a larger bag so I designed an over night duffle bag. This bag has a built in wash bag and also a shoe compartment for long weekends.
This bag is an experiment with see through fount it has an orchid flower and hand painted poly carbonate mounted in the piece. it has zips around the side so when the object is located through the opaice central piece it can be easily withdrawn.
